Part I Architectural Assistant
BA (hons)
Padina joined the Practice in 2021 as an Architectural Assistant. She graduated from University of Kent, Canterbury with a first-class honour degree and is currently undertaking the Architect Apprenticeship Standard for the qualifications as both a Part 2 and Part 3.
Her last university project explored the use of transformable architecture inspired by her daily travel from home to work in the city of Canterbury; creating a building that interacts with people and is able to adapt and react to whatever happens in its surrounding. The primary focus of the design was to prioritise pedestrian and cyclist movement in which the transformation creates new spaces, moments, to pause and enjoy.
Padina currently assists Mike Pearson in the Kent Studio working on a range of commercial and residential schemes.
In her free time, Padina enjoys painting, reading and spending quality time with her dog.
